On your job for example, if you have a comfortable seat and desk location with a great boss, realize that the company may move to Smalltown, USA. And if you want that job you may have to move at your own expense. (It could happed-Realize a change will come someday)
On your job if new computers arrive or if new data equipment shows up, get a manual first and learn how to operate the new equipment. Be the first to volunteer to go to training.(Prepare for the Change)
If you have mastered the tasks on your job and do them with your eyes closed, and now very easy, Ask for a new job that you haven't mastered. Initiate the change yourself!
