Helping Others is true Happiness

This network is for those who take great joy in helping Others

CHANGE gives more people stress than anything else. Change causes stress and stress kills. Here is what you need to know about change. Change is inevitable. Change is the only constant in the Universe. Change is going come! Here is how you reduce and maybe eliminate the stress.

Realize that change is going to come.

Be prepared for the change

Initiate the change yourself!

On your job for example, if you have a comfortable seat and desk location with a great boss, realize that the company may move to Smalltown, USA. And if you want that job you may have to move at your own expense. (It could happed-Realize a change will come someday)

On your job if new computers arrive or if new data equipment shows up, get a manual first and learn how to operate the new equipment. Be the first to volunteer to go to training.(Prepare for the Change)

If you have mastered the tasks on your job and do them with your eyes closed, and now very easy, Ask for a new job that you haven't mastered. Initiate the change yourself! Most will stay on the old job that means NO GROWTH. Here is the key. See change not as change but rather as GROWTH. CHANGE causes stress, stress kills. See CHANGE as GROWTH, growth is good. GROWTH is satisfying

Teaching Technique-Stop the Tape

TEACHING TECHNIQUE---STOP THE TAPE

Early in my teaching career there was only 16mm film. The Memphis City Schools Board of Education published a film catalog listing hundreds of film available for teachers to show in their classrooms. The usual procedure for the teachers that worked in the school with me was to order a film, get a student to put it on and monitor it and then go to the teacher’s lounge.

Of course no teacher does that today. (hopefully…

Teaching Technique - Legacy

BY DEFINITION: Something handed down from an ancestor or a predecessor or from the past

How do you want your students to remember you?

If you are walking in a local mall and one of your former students sees you then runs to give you a hug and a thank you, would that make you happy.

If you overheard one of your students saying “she is the best teacher I ever had”, How would that make you…

R U a lifelong LEARNER?

I do presentations for students entitled HOW TO LEARN.

This has placed in tens of schools.

In each of these schools I have seen the concepy LIFE LONG LEARNER

heavily promoted. ( I feel this is GREAT)

To many times I have queried teachers about the outdated Windows software

they were using. I have been disappioted at the responses I have gotten.

Many have responded " I am going to retire in three years I don't intend to learn

anything new.

TO TEACH… Continue

Life’s Inventory

So you

have been living for 40 or 50 or 60 years. What do you have to show for it?

What comes to your mind first?

Your children? Your house? your car?

Were your children an accomplishment or an accident?

Should a spouse who loves you be listed in your inventory?

I did this inventory 10 years after I have…

Be Happy at work2

A dear friend proclaimed “I am so upset this lady at work was dressed so

Inappropriately, she uses such bad grammar and she is not friendly to her co-workers.

In addition, I am miserable because I have a hard time making friends at work.

My response was, refocus your life camera. When you go to work define your specific

tasks, focus on your TASKS, perform your tasks to the best of your ability. Then go home.… Continue
