Helping Others is true Happiness

A dear friend proclaimed “I am so upset this lady at work was dressed so
Inappropriately, she uses such bad grammar and she is not friendly to her co-workers.
In addition, I am miserable because I have a hard time making friends at work.

My response was, refocus your life camera. When you go to work define your specific
tasks, focus on your TASKS, perform your tasks to the best of your ability. Then go home. You are not there to win friends and influence people. Friends will find you in your other activities. If you are good at performing your tasks at work, others will seek you out. Others will want to be your friend. BE GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO.

I was watching a football game on TV. A player was injured; the announcer said “He is the Franchise Player. This was the first time I had heard that expression.

That means that player was so important to the team, that he could not be traded. He was identified with the team. ( Michael Jordan = Chicago Bulls).

From that point on, at my job I wanted to be known as the Franchise Employee at work.
The Franchise Employee can be easily identified. He or She is the one the boss calls on to train or help new employees. He or she is the one the boss continually gives tasks. ( he knows if he wants in done right give the task to the franchise employee)

ACTION STEP: Focus on the tasks, become the (or one of the FRANCHISE EMPLOYEES)
